Describe your childhood/growing up years (8-13 years old):
Being the eldest child, my parents raised me to be very competitive. Because of that upbringing, I excelled highly both in academics and extra-curricular activities. I used to compete for math/science/history quiz bees, debates, dance sports, singing and even in sporting activities like track & field and table tennis.
What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?
The best lesson that I’ve learned from my childhood years is the fact that perseverance, effort and faith are required to achieve your goals. There were a lot of times that I just want to cry because I want to play outside, but I still got to read loads of books. But when recognition days arrive, I can see the result of my hard work through the awards that I receive.
Most memorable moment:
My most memorable moment is when I won my first ever title Mutya nan Claver 2018 after almost 5 years of joining pageants. It was really memorable because I had to do my own hair and makeup during all the pre-pageant activities since my handler can only attend the coronation night.
Why do you want to be Miss Philippines Earth?
I want to be Miss Philippines Earth 2021 because I believe that this is the best platform for me to push my environmental advocacy and put into reality the change that I look forward to seeing in the Philippines.
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
“Sustainable development through community involvement and raising awareness about responsible mining.” – I am from a mining municipality and I chose this advocacy because I want to show to other people how good relationship between the government, the public, and private entities like mining companies paved way to sustainable development where everybody moves forward. I also want to change people’s negative perception about mining.
