Describe your childhood/growing up years (8-13 years old):
It is blissful, and when I remember my childhood days, I cannot help but smile. Yes that’s the magic of childhood, we found happiness in the smallest of ways when we were kids. And by this age of 8-13 years old it is the phase where I am also introduced in the real world. This is the moment where l had appreciated my carefree life when I was so young and the moment I take responsibility of everything I will do and have done. It’s all worth to be cherished and to be shared.

What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?
I learned so many lessons from my own experiences and to the teachings of my parents. I learned to be optimistic in every aspects, to live my life seeing the good in others and trusting them, to respect everyone regardless of age, race, gender or social condition, to love and help those who are in need, and to value the fruit of hard work which had help me when I become a working student. Actually there’s a lot really and I’ve lost counts, but all in all, I learned the essence of respect, love, compassion, empathy, sacrifice, faithand selflessness that makes me of who I am today.

Most memorable moment:
I have a lot of memorable moments, but one moment I will be forever cherishing is when a child in Sitio Nagbayukan (one of the island we visited) ran to me while I’m walking back to step on the boat, saying “Teacher! Teacher!! Gusto ko din magin tulad mo paglaki ko! Para maturuan ko din yung mga tulad naming mga bata na di nakakapag aral o kaya teacher papatayo ako school dito.” Hearing that moves my heart, those hopeful children had been my inspiration to continue what I’m doing and had reminded me that amidst all the struggles we are experiencing we should be like a child, who dream and are grateful.

Why do you want to be Miss Philippines Earth?
To join and to be blessed to win this title is a great achievement of one of my purpose in life. Because with Miss Philippines Earth, I can be given a great opportunity to be heard in vast audience and make an impactful change. I can promote my advocacy and educate people. For I strongly perceived that with awareness, knowledge and enlightenment we can encourage others to do their own effort to save our Earth, for together we can make an impactful change and nothing is impossible. And I am here to stand my ground and to encourage and educate everyone that now is the right time to act, to protect what has been left to us and to regain what has been damage to our home. That is why I really ask God to give me His blessing and this chance, for me to take part of my responsibility as the human of the Earth.

What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
Integrated Sustainable Solid Waste Management particularly of practise waste. Because I had seen that the massive problem we face on our planet today is plastic pollution. I personally saw and experience its detrimental effect and that leads me to a profound conclusion that someone must stand to do what we humans are expected to do towards our only home, our Earth.
