Describe your childhood/growing up years (8-13 years old):
I remember that as a child I always went back and forth from Italy and the Philippines, I spent most of my childhood in my country of origin. I remember feeling free every day at the age of 5 when I went out to play in the wheat fields chasing dragonflies. I remember taking a shower in the rain. And I can say that in my childhood I explored everything I could. At the age of 8, I remained in Italy.
What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?
When I was young, I was a really shy kid. I was the girl who'll always be in the darkest corner of the class, I was afraid of giving bad impressions, and I was afraid when someone looked at me in the eyes. I remember that I was afraid of being embarrassed so I preferred not to talk to people. But as I grew up I learned that embarrassment makes you stronger, new challenges make you stronger, new things make you stronger. So let's embrace our failures, learn from them, and use them as a stepping stone to success.
Most memorable moment:
My memorable moment is when my brother came into the world, and we spent our childhood growing up as a really close friends. I really enjoyed being his ate, and being his source of information .
He has been a constant source of love and support for me throughout my life, and I am incredibly grateful for him.
Why do you want to be Miss Philippines Earth?
I want to use this platform to inspire young girls and women by sharing my own journey. I hope to encourage and motivate them to pursue their passions, and to believe in themselves and their abilities.
And this opportunity will help me grow and develop as a person. The Miss Philippines Earth journey will challenge me to step out of my comfort zone, and to develop new skills.
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
Educating young girls on contraceptives is crucial in reducing the increasing population in the Philippines. By empowering them with knowledge on safe and effective family planning methods, we can help them make informed decisions. This will not only benefit them but also contribute to the overall development and sustainability of our nation.
What tip can you share to promote eco-tourism in your City or Municipality?
We should invest more in lodges, resorts, and homestays that use renewable energy, have water-saving measures in place and promote responsible waste management, as well as organize eco-tourism festivals that show the natural beauty of the Philippines and promote sustainable travel practices.
