Describe your childhood/growing up years (8-13 years old):
I was born in France. In Cagnes-sur-Mer. We moved to England from France and then from England to the Philippines. We lived in Cebu by the time I was 8. From Cebu we then moved to Camiguin where my grandmother comes from. I had 1 school year there. It was an experience because I got to be the band logo bearer. It was more like a majorette really but I was carrying the school logo of Paradise Island Christian School. This was the place where I learned to slowly speak the Visayan language. Then we moved back to Cebu and that was when my journey started in pageantry.
What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?
Despite being different by not speaking the language and not acting like everyone else I chose to be happy growing up because I just wanted to enjoy being a kid. Starting my teenage years I have learned that it is nice to experience being a part of a Drum and Bugle Corps as one of the majorettes and competing with other schools. And to experience my highschool life I have started to build good and loyal friends along the way. Now I am older I get to remember my experiences during those years and they were definitely good and bad.
Most memorable moment:
My most memorable moment was winning Pasigarbo sa Sugbo 1st runner up because it was a funny experience for me. The reason behind this is because I really thought that I was not going to win anything at all. It would have been the first time. I have already accepted my defeat while waiting for the announcement of the 1st runner-up. Luckily my municipality was called for the 1st runner-up winner and I was shocked because I wasn’t expecting anymore. But I did.
Why do you want to be Miss Philippines Earth?
I want to be Miss Philippines Earth 2022 because I want to help heal our Mother Earth. For years it has been the earth that has been carrying us, and not the other way around. I would like to return the favor by taking good care of it. We are capable. And through winning Miss Philippines Earth 2022 I will be able to continue the chain reaction.
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
My environmental advocacy is sustainable fashion. I chose this advocacy because I love fashion and I know in the future I am going to make beautiful masterpieces that are made of recyclable, scrap fabrics. And I hope that through this I will somehow reduce the fast fashion industry.
What tip can you share to promote eco-tourism in your City or Municipality?
The tips that I can share to promote eco-tourism in my beloved Cebu city is to be responsible during their holidays like not loitering in our tourist spots. Being mindful about the local people living in the area. Support local shops and always be good in disposing of your plastics. And when we see anything that is endangered, let us take care to preserve them and let them hopefully prosper again.
