Describe your childhood/growing up years (8-13 years old):
My family has influenced me to care for the environment and love animals since I was a child. I remember my
grandmother taking me into our little Mountain, or "Bukid," to work on our garden, care for our plants, and look after
our living animals, and I always find myself smiling. My childhood was filled with inspiration because now as a
grown-up woman I’ve understand that taking care of mother earth is important as well as giving care to welfare of
animals and I want to share this inspiration to others to start and make a change.
What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?
Life is a wonderful gift and a wonderful thing not because of what it provides us, but because of what it allows us to
provide to others. Make the smallest change worthwhile in order to change the world, and never be afraid to do what
you want and to try to make a difference in this world in the best way you know how.
Most memorable moment:
When my grandmother let me try to plant a seed and I failed, she taught me how to manage it, and I did learn, and
now I hold that memorable moment with me to touch other people's lives, that by starting small, we can make a big
difference in our environment, and that being compassionate to animals should be something we do now to make
them feel valued. These experiences shaped me into a woman who hopes for a better future by carrying the torch
of hope for a better environment and peaceful welfare conservation.
Why do you want to be Miss Philippines Earth?
To have a greater cause of purpose and that is to inspire other people not just to change, but to do something for
change and I want to be that woman who carry the beacon of hope, a hope that a brighter future for all of us.
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
Advocate for Zero-waste Management that aims to transform people's habits and behaviors that focuses on local
communities, in order to be in pursuit of more environmentally friendly and resource-efficient solutions so that we
can all strive together to a attain greener planet.
What tip can you share to promote eco-tourism in your City or Municipality?
I'd like to encourage all local government units to invest in, develop, and improve their natural resources so that they
can provide a livelihood for people while also maintaining the environment's general health. Also, to have an
environmental awareness campaign and programs to educate people not only about the 4R's, Reuse, Reduce,
Recycle, and Respect, but also about living creatures that need to be protected. It will serve to minimize problems
and elevate better solutions, resulting in a better and greener world.
