Describe your childhood/growing up years (8-13 years old):
When I was a child, I’m always with my mom. I always cry whenever she leaves me. Even in school, I always find my mom. When I got bullied during my elementary days, it really marked my childhood, I was always afraid. My mom really defends me, she even goes to school and finds those people who bullied me. While growing up I realized that I need to stand on my own, I have to defend and fight especially when I’m not doing anything wrong. My childhood was a roller coaster ride and still I was always grateful for that.

What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?
Even when I fail 7 times, I have to stand up 8 times. Until now, I always remember that I need to be courageous because my mom taught me to stand up because you yourself will be the one who will help you succeed. Without my childhood, I will not be who I am today who is stronger, wiser and more generous.

Most memorable moment:
The most memorable moment was my 26th birthday. After 2 years since the pandemic started, I was really happy because I can’t believe we’re together with my whole family, my dad and older sister are in Mindanao for a long time because they manage our business. From others’ experiences, some of their loved ones died because of COVID 19. I’m very blessed that we’re together spending our time happily and healthily.

Why do you want to be Miss Philippines Earth?
I want to be a Miss Philippines Earth 2022 because I believe that this is the right opportunity to be an instrument to protect our environment and build a stronger foundation of service for the conservation and protection of our natural resources and animals around us.

What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
My advocacy is to plant more trees, preserve the forest and wild animals. Because to have a healthy ecosystem is to have a high biodiversity. Trees and animals are the important living creatures that contribute for our better life and job. As I also teach Biology to my students, I want it not just as knowledge but as an application for the younger generation on how to protect our environment.

What tip can you share to promote eco-tourism in your City or Municipality?
I can help by spreading awareness about what might happen in the near future if we don’t give enough attention for our environment, it will be a domino effect- everything will be affected, especially us- humans. I can join and strengthen organizations that promote our environment. Because our true wealth is our natural resources that we should be proud of.
