Describe your childhood/growing up years (8-13 years old):
I grew up without my father on my side since he was a seaman at that time and growing up in that situation I became grade conscious since I only want to make my parents and family proud of me and even though my mother and my sisters are the only ones at my side, they taught me how to be a good individual and guided me to be a better one.
What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?
As I grew up, I have learned that it is not just about having a high grade during the school years but rather it is more about the knowledge and experience you gained because at the end the most important thing as an individual is your attitude; the way you treat yourself and others; because I think almost everything here on Earth will depend on the attitude of an individual.
Most memorable moment:
As for now the most memorable moments that happened in my life; firstly, is when I saw my name on the list of board passers for the licensure exam for Pharmacist 2016 and secondly when I heard my name as Ms. Lipa Tourism First Runner – up 2017; because everything paid off; all of my hard work, all of my sleepless nights and every prayer was heard; and because of this I knew that if I will really do my best I can do anything if I will just believe in myself and in our Lord God, everything will be possible.
Why do you want to be Miss Philippines Earth 2018?
Change yourself first before you save the Earth. As an individual I know that change must come within ourselves because before we can truly save our Earth we must first change our attitude; considering that we humans are the greatest enemy of our nature, cause no matter what projects we implement to save our nature if not everyone truly understand the importance of it, everything will be useless; that is why I want to be the Miss Philippines Earth 2018 and be the voice of our Earth.
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
I want to uplift the awareness of everyone regarding “Zero Waste Lifestyle”, a lifestyle wherein we will limit ourselves to use those unwanted materials like plastics, so there will be no trash to be sent on landfills thus reducing the waste in our environment. I know at first this will be hard to everyone since we are living now in a place full of “trash” where almost everything is packed in a plastic container so why don’t we shift to be ecofriendly; as much as possible we could bring our own reusable container/bag whenever we go to grocery or have coffee, so that we can lessen the use of any plastic and if we will continue to practice this, eventually this will become our habit; because for me before we can truly save the Earth we must first change ourselves.
