Describe your childhood/growing up years (8-13 years old):
I had an amazing childhood growing up. I lived in Sydney until I was 10 in a very urban
area. When my family moved to Melbourne, we lived on the Mornington
Peninsula. Growing up next to the beach shaped the person that I am today. I
have a strong appreciation for the beaches and oceans as I’ve always had the
beautiful view on my door step. My primary school was across the road from the
beach and we would often spend time at the beach learning about the sea life in
our area as well as learning about how we can protect the ocean and the land.
I’m so grateful to have grown up where I did because it taught me to appreciate
the lands we live on and has shown me why mother nature is worth fighting for.
What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?
I learnt to appreciate everything we have as it may not always be there and to enjoy
every single day of our life because you never know what tomorrow will hold.
Most memorable moment:
Walking in my first fashion show for designer
Rocky Gathercole. It was a dream I had always had but never thought was
possible because I always believed I wasn’t tall enough. It was an experience
that I enjoyed so much and will never forget.
Why do you want to be Miss Philippines Earth 2019?
I believe that education is key. For there to be a change in the way we as human beings treat
mother nature, we need as many people as possible to understand how their
actions impact the environment and what they can do to contribute. I believe
that the title of Miss Philippines Earth will provide me with the opportunity to
better educate this generation, and it would be an honour to be crowned Miss
Philippines Earth, to stand strong and represent Mother Nature.
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
My advocacy is to replace fossil fuels with renewable energy such as solar, wind
and hydro power. I chose this because I believe it will make a great difference to
our environment and I believe it is a strong step towards battling climate
